Reclaim cursive as a skill, a signature, and a practice.
Cursive Club is a structured 10-session workbook for writers who want to develop, refine, or return to cursive. Ten sessions, one tabbed notebook, and a before-and-after work sample so the progress is visible.
Choose your tier: workbook, course, or live sessions with Kelly.
You already know cursive matters. What you don’t have is a plan.
Your signature looks nothing like you
You sign your name and it feels borrowed, not yours. Somewhere between college and now, the letters got smaller, faster, less like a hand and more like a scribble. You want it back.
You want to teach it but you weren’t taught it
Whether you’re a classroom teacher, a homeschool parent, or a tutor, you know the research on handwriting and retention. What you don’t have is a sequenced program that respects the learner and doesn’t infantilize the work.
The workbooks you’ve found are for six-year-olds
Rainbow tracing lines. Cartoon puppies. Nothing designed for a middle schooler, a high schooler, or an adult learner who wants rigor. You want a workbook you’d actually keep on your desk.
You keep meaning to practice and never do
Ten minutes a day. That’s all it would take. But without a structure, without sessions with a beginning and an end, the notebook stays closed. You need a container, not a hobby.
“I don’t want a handwriting worksheet. I want a practice.”
— what educators keep telling me
What if cursive practice looked like a real class, with a real arc?
Cursive Club is built like a course, not a coloring book. Ten sessions, each with the same five tabs — you open the notebook, you know exactly where you are, you know what you’re doing, you know when you’re done.
Letters grouped by entry stroke — so your hand learns families, not isolated shapes.
Word families and sight words — building toward connected, fluent writing.
Uppercase and signature development — for the letters that carry your name.
Pangrams and historical quote copy — so the practice is worth reading.
A before-and-after work sample — so the progress is visible on the page, not just felt in the hand.
Works for a summer enrichment block, a small group at the kitchen table, a classroom mini-unit, or one adult with a good pen and ten minutes.

What ten sessions actually give you
A signature that looks like you again
The uppercase and signature development work is the whole point for a lot of adult learners. By session ten, you have a signature you’ve built on purpose, not one that eroded by accident.
Letter families that finally make sense
Cursive isn’t 26 shapes. It’s a handful of entry strokes and the letters that share them. You’ll learn the families the way a good teacher would sequence them, so your hand stops guessing.
Ten minutes a day that actually stick
Each session has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Warmup, practice, parting. You sit down, you do the thing, you close the book. The container is what makes the habit hold.
Visible progress you can hold in your hands
The workbook opens with a work sample and closes with one. Same prompt, ten sessions apart. You see the change on the page, in your own hand, in ink.
A curriculum you can teach from tomorrow
For teachers, tutors, and homeschool parents: the session arc is the lesson plan. Theme, Warmup, Discussion, Practice, Parting. Print it, sit down with your learner, teach it.

The seven-day workbook guarantee
Open the workbook, sit with the first session, look at the design and the sequencing. If Cursive Club isn’t what I’ve described here, email me within seven days and I’ll refund you. No forms, no gauntlet. I want this in the hands of people who’ll use it.
I’m Kelly.
I taught secondary ELA for 17 years, grades 6 through 12, with an MA in English and an MEd in Instructional Leadership. I built Cursive Club because I couldn’t find a cursive program that treated the learner like a thinking person with a hand and a history. I wanted something my former students, my current audience, and I would all actually use.
Cursive Club is what I would have handed to a colleague, a parent, or myself. My promise: if you sit with the sessions, your hand will change and you’ll have proof on the page.
Questions you might have
Is this for beginners or for people who already write cursive?
Both. Cursive Club is sequenced from letter families up through signature development and connected writing, so a true beginner can start at session one. But it isn’t a beginner-only workbook. Adult learners returning to cursive and writers refining what they already have will find the pangrams, historical quote copy, and signature work worth the whole program.
How is this different from a $6 workbook on Amazon?
Three things. The design is built for older learners and adults, not six-year-olds. The sessions have a real arc, so it functions as a curriculum, not a stack of tracing pages. And the before-and-after work sample is built in, so you see the progress rather than guess at it. The price reflects the program, not just the paper.
Which tier should I pick?
If you want to teach it or practice on your own with a good pen and a quiet ten minutes, Tier 1 is enough. If you learn better with instruction and video walkthroughs, Tier 2. If you want two live sessions with me during the summer for accountability and questions, Tier 3.
Can I use this with my classroom, co-op, or small group?
Yes. The session arc is designed to function as a lesson plan for a teacher, tutor, or homeschool parent. Theme opens the session, Practice does the work, Parting closes it. It runs well as a summer enrichment block or a classroom mini-unit.
How long does the whole program take?
Ten sessions, roughly 20 to 40 minutes each depending on the learner. You can run it as a two-week intensive, a ten-week practice, or a summer arc. The container is flexible. The sequencing is not.
